There is a small meat ball on the foreskin

The appearance of small fleshy balls on the foreskin may be caused by pearly rash, genital warts, ectopic sebaceous glands, skin tags or folliculitis. It is recommended to seek medical examination promptly and follow the doctor's instructions for treatment after a clear diagnosis.

1. Pearl rash

Pearly rash is common on the edge of the male glans or the inside of the foreskin. It appears as small white or light red papules, arranged in rows, without pain or itching. It may be related to poor local hygiene or physiological development. Generally no special treatment is required, just keep the perineum clean and dry. If it affects the appearance, laser or freezing can be used to remove it as directed by your doctor.

2. Genital warts

Genital warts are caused by human papillomavirus infection and appear as cauliflower- or papillary growths with a rough surface and may be accompanied by itching or discharge. The diagnosis needs to be confirmed by acetic acid white test or pathological examination. Treatment options include imiquimod cream, podophyllotoxin tincture and other drugs, or carbon dioxide laser and photodynamic therapy to remove warts.

3. Ectopia of sebaceous glands

Ectopia sebaceum is the formation of small yellow or skin-colored particles caused by the proliferation of sebaceous glands in abnormal areas. It feels grainy to the touch and often has no symptoms. It is common in the inner plate of the foreskin or the coronal sulcus and is related to changes in hormone levels. Usually no treatment is required, but topical erythromycin ointment or mupirocin ointment can be used if the infection is complicated.

4. Skin tags

Skin tags are small, soft, benign growths of skin that may have a peduncle and are similar in color to the skin. It often occurs in skin folds and is related to friction or genetic factors. It can be removed by electrocautery, laser or surgery. The wound needs to be kept clean after surgery to avoid infection.

5. Folliculitis

Folliculitis appears as red papules or pustules that may have hairs running through the center and are tender. It is mostly caused by bacterial infection of hair follicles. Fusidic acid cream or compound polymyxin B ointment can be used externally, and in severe cases, cefuroxime axetil tablets can be taken orally. It is necessary to avoid scratching and change underwear frequently.

If you find a small fleshy ball on your foreskin, you should avoid squeezing or applying medication on your own. Wash your perineum with warm water every day and choose breathable cotton underwear. The diet should be light and reduce the intake of spicy and irritating foods. If the flesh ball enlarges, ruptures, or is accompanied by bleeding or pain in a short period of time, you need to see a doctor immediately to check for possible malignant lesions. Sexual partners should be checked simultaneously to prevent cross-infection.
