Women’s Health Secrets
There is no health template that applies to everyone. Most minor gynecological problems do not require excessive treatment. Emotional/physical changes caused by hormone fluctuations are normal physiological reactions and are not "hypocritical" or "disease".
What follows is all based on my solid experience gained from being in a gynecological clinic for 8 years and chatting with dozens of female friends of different ages and lifestyles around me.
Not long ago, a 26-year-old girl came to the outpatient clinic. Her vulva was itchy for half a month. She secretly bought three Internet celebrity private parts care solutions, washed them and applied Chinese medicine packs. When she came, the bacterial flora was completely imbalanced, and even walking hurt. I asked her why she didn't come to the hospital first. She said she read on the Internet that "girls need to do private cleaning every day to be clean." Some bloggers said that douching can eliminate "dirty things." To be honest here, there has always been controversy about cleaning private parts: some people say that weakly acidic lotions can prevent inflammation, while others say that only clean water is the best. My objective advice is: If there is no itching, odor, or abnormal leucorrhea, flushing the vulva with warm running water every day is enough. The vagina has its own self-purification function. If you put things into it, it will wash away all the good bacteria. If you really feel uncomfortable, check the routine of leucorrhea first. A ten-dollar thing is 10,000 times more effective than a care solution worth hundreds of dollars.
Let’s talk about the menstrual problem that many people struggle with. My cousin cried to me a few days ago, saying that her aunt's intake was half that of her roommate, and she was suffering from premature aging because of poor detoxification. I calculated it for her: every time you come to visit your aunt, you take 4 or 5 tablets for daily use. Half of each tablet can be wetted, which is almost 20ml. The normal range is 5 to 80ml. This is absolutely fine for you. Where do you need to detoxify? There are even more mixed opinions about dysmenorrhea. Some people say that taking ibuprofen will hurt the stomach and should not be touched. Some people say that drinking ginger tea has a psychological effect. In fact, there is really no need to argue about right or wrong. If your pain is mild and can be relieved by drinking a cup of hot ginger tea and holding a hot water bottle, then drink it ; If the pain is so severe that you can't go to work, taking an ibuprofen is perfectly fine as long as there are no contraindications. Don't force it. But a word of caution: If you have never had pain before and suddenly start having dysmenorrhea, or the pain is getting worse and worse, don’t believe the nonsense that “just get married and have children”, go check for endometriosis or adenomyosis first, and don’t delay.
There are also people who can't sleep when breast nodules are detected during a physical examination. Last year, my best friend found BI-RADS 3 nodules during a physical examination. She hugged me and cried for half the night, saying she was afraid of getting breast cancer. When I went for a follow-up examination, the doctor said that I only needed to be examined once every six months, and there was no need to take medicine at all. There are two extreme opinions on the Internet. One is that massage can eliminate nodules, and the other is that all massages cause cancer. Objectively speaking: if it is ordinary breast hyperplasia, gentle massage from the massage department of a regular hospital can indeed relieve swelling and pain. But if there are clear nodules and cysts, don’t go to a beauty salon to do the kind of breast care that involves rubbing your breasts desperately. I have seen too many people who were hospitalized after their cysts ruptured and bled after being rubbed. The gain outweighs the loss.
By the way, here’s another piece of trivia that many people don’t know: urine leakage is not an “exclusive problem” for women after giving birth. I once met a 22-year-old girl who was never married and had no children. She danced Pamela's high-intensity aerobics every day. After three months of dancing, she started leaking urine every time she jumped. After a checkup, she found out that her pelvic floor muscles were loose. Girls who sit for long periods of time, are constipated, and often lift weights may have this problem. Don’t be embarrassed. Kegel exercises are not only done by pregnant women. You can do Kegel exercises when you are fishing at work. It is more useful than buying a pelvic floor muscle meter worth thousands of dollars.
In fact, after all, there are so many "secrets" in women's health. Many so-called "common senses" are either made up by businesses to make money from you, or they are old ideas passed down from the older generation. You don’t have to live by other people’s standards, you don’t have to feel anxious because you drank iced coffee during pregnancy, and you don’t have to feel guilty because others say “girls can’t stay up late.” You know your body best. If you really feel uncomfortable, go to a regular hospital. Don’t believe in the home remedies of internet celebrities, they are better than anything else.
