3. DNA hybridization technology. The specific hybridization bands or spots showed a positive reaction. Both specificity and sensitivity are high. 2. Immunological examination

1. The antigens used to detect antibodies mainly include tachyzoite soluble antigens (cytoplasmic antigens) and membrane antigens. Antibodies in the former appear earlier (detected by staining test, indirect immunofluorescence test), while antibodies in the latter appear later (detected by indirect hemagglutination test, etc.). Using multiple detection methods at the same time can play a complementary role and increase the detection rate. Since Toxoplasma gondii can exist in human cells for a long time, it is generally difficult to distinguish current infection or previous infection by detecting antibodies. It can be judged based on the level of antibody titer and its kinetic changes.

2. Detection of antigens uses immunological methods to detect pathogens (tachyzoites or cysts) in host cells, metabolism or cleavage products (circulating antigens) in serum and body fluids. It is a reliable method for early diagnosis and confirmed diagnosis. Domestic and foreign scholars have established McAb-ELISA and sandwich ELISA methods of McAb and polyclonal antibodies to detect serum circulating antigens in acute patients. Their sensitivity is able to detect 0.4 μg/ml of antigens in serum.

3. Intradermal test

Use infected mouse peritoneal fluid or chicken embryo fluid as antigen. Delayed, tuberculin reactions often occur. Can be used for epidemiological investigations. There are not many applications currently.
