Addition and subtraction of Dingxian Pills: 30 grams each of Cassia, Purple Quartz and Poria, 15 grams each of Salvia miltiorrhiza and Trichosanthes trichosanthes, 12 grams each of Faxia, Bombyx, Ophiopogon japonicus, Polygala, and Acorus, 10 grams each of tangerine peel, Sichuan clam and Gastrodia elata, 6 grams of whole scorpion, 1 gram of cinnabar, 10 ml of bamboo extract (flush), 2 grams of amber powder (swallow).
6. Folk remedies for the treatment of epilepsy. Liver fire and phlegm type usually have irritable mood, upset and poor sleep, bitter mouth and dry throat, constipation. The same as above during the attack, red tongue with yellow coating, stringy and rapid pulse. It is treated by clearing the liver and purging fire, resolving phlegm and resuscitating the symptoms. The recipe uses Gentian Xiegan Decoction and Ditan Decoction with the following additions and subtractions: 30 grams each of raw Cassia, Uncaria, and Poria, 15 grams of Rehmannia glutinosa, 12 grams each of Scutellaria baicalensis, Gardenia, Faxia, Danxing, Citrus aurantium, Alisma, and Acorus, 10 grams each of Bupleurum, Plantago, Tangerine peel, and Bamboo Ru, and 5 grams of raw rhubarb (bottom below).
