In fact, there is no absolute "who is better". We must first clarify the misunderstanding of many people - Reiki itself is a branch of energy healing and is a natural energy regulation system originated from Usui Ongo in Japan. People are used to comparing the two. In fact, they are comparing Reiki with other pan-energy healing methods such as singing bowls, crystal healing, chakra cleaning, etc. The core of choosing which one is not about the category, but which one suits you.
I have been involved in the field of energy regulation for almost 6 years. I have met many senior enthusiasts who are obsessed with Reiki, and I have also met people who cannot touch Reiki at all, and the effects of other energy healing are doubled. I once had an old client who worked as a planner at 4A. He stayed up all night for almost half a year. My aunt postponed it for almost two months. She had insomnia and even took melatonin to the point where it didn’t help. I tried the singing bowl therapy recommended by a friend before. Every time after the session, I was so dizzy that I couldn’t even walk. It took me three or four hours to regain consciousness. Later, I came to me for long-distance Reiki, and it worked every time. I lay down at home and relaxed for 20 minutes without touching my body or listening to any sounds. I fell asleep for 11 hours after doing it for the first time. After doing it for more than two months, my aunt's cycle slowly returned to normal. She still uses Reiki as her first choice for daily relaxation. She said it is much less troublesome than going to a massage parlor, and she doesn't have to talk to a therapist.
Of course, many people feel that Reiki is “too weak” and is far less effective than targeted comprehensive energy healing. I know a teacher who has been teaching flow yoga for 7 years. His chakra sensitivity is much higher than that of ordinary people. He tried Reiki three times before to adjust the blockage of the throat chakra. Every time, he felt like the energy was floating outside through a layer of cotton padding and could not penetrate at all. Later, he changed to a crystal array chakra cleansing therapy. Master, the first time she did it, she felt that the lump in her throat that had been blocked for several years gradually dissipated. Even her old problem of sore throat after talking for a long time was mostly cured. She now has a bunch of crystals and does simple energy tuning for herself. She feels that it is much more flexible than a single Reiki.
At present, this type of energy regulation method itself is still in the blind spot of mainstream medicine. There are also many people who think that whether it is Reiki or other energy healing, they are all IQ taxes. I will not refute this - I have met a user before who spent more than 8,000 to sign up for a healing package from a so-called "Reiki Master".
If you really want to try it, there is no need to worry about the quality of the product. If you are sensitive, afraid of trouble, and just want to relieve daily fatigue and emotional exhaustion, you are right to try Reiki first. If you have clear emotional stuck points, or you have a strong sense of energy, you can also find a reliable therapist to do a simple energy assessment first, and choose the one that feels most comfortable to you. After all, for this kind of experiential thing, whatever works for you is the best.
