Thick sperm may generally indicate poor motility and requires treatment if necessary.
Under normal circumstances, healthy male semen has a certain consistency and is jelly-like. After being discharged from the body, it will change from a solidified state to a liquid state in about 5 minutes, and finally completely liquefy. If male patients have increased semen consistency, it may be due to abnormal accessory gonad function, such as epididymitis, prostatitis, orchitis and other diseases. Without active treatment, sperm vitality and mobility will directly decrease, and even cause infertility.
Patients need to go to the hospital for a semen examination in time to understand the exact cause and then provide targeted treatment.
