In the early stages of cervical cancer, symptoms such as dull pain in the lower abdomen, pain during intercourse, or soreness in the lumbosacral region may occur. Early symptoms of cervical cancer mainly include abnormal vaginal bleeding, contact bleeding, increased secretions, lower abdominal discomfort, abnormal urination, etc. It is recommended to seek medical screening in time when relevant symptoms appear.
1. Dull pain in lower abdomen
Early-stage cervical cancer may cause persistent dull pain or swelling in the lower abdomen, which is mild and vague in location. This pain is related to local tumor infiltration or inflammatory stimulation, and may be accompanied by pelvic pressure. If you have unexplained lower abdominal pain that lasts for more than 2 weeks, it is recommended to undergo a gynecological examination and HPV test.
2. Pain during sexual intercourse
When cervical cancer lesions are superficial, contact pain or bleeding may occur after sexual intercourse, which is called contact bleeding. Tumor tissue is fragile and easily damaged, and may be accompanied by bloody secretions. It is recommended to avoid strenuous sexual life, and to seek evaluation from a doctor before using drugs such as Baofukang suppositories or recombinant human interferon α2b vaginal effervescent tablets.
3. Lumbosacral pain
When the tumor infiltrates into the parametrial tissue, it can radiate to the lumbosacral region, manifesting as deep soreness or dull pain, which worsens after sitting for a long time or exerting exertion. It may be related to obstruction of lymphatic flow or nerve compression, and needs to be differentiated from lumbar spine diseases. The cause can be determined through a pelvic MRI.
4. Discomfort in urination
When tumors compress the bladder or urethra, urinary abnormalities such as frequent urination and urgency may occur. In severe cases, hematuria may occur. Be alert to the possibility of cervical cancer invading the urinary system. It is recommended to conduct routine urine examination and use anti-infective drugs such as Levofloxacin Hydrochloride Tablets as directed by your doctor if necessary.
5. Radiating pain in lower limbs
When late-stage cervical cancer compresses the sciatic nerve, radiating pain in the lower limbs may occur. In the early stage, unilateral lower limb soreness and swelling may occasionally be seen. It often indicates that the tumor has invaded the pelvic wall, and a CT examination needs to be performed immediately. Celecoxib capsules or tramadol hydrochloride sustained-release tablets can be considered for analgesia, but they must be used under the guidance of an oncologist.
It is recommended that women over 30 years old undergo regular cervical cancer screening, including HPV testing and TCT examination. Keep the perineum clean, avoid multiple sexual partners, and get the HPV vaccine to effectively prevent it. If abnormal vaginal bleeding or persistent abdominal pain occurs, you should seek medical treatment as soon as possible. Early-stage cervical cancer has a better prognosis through surgery and radiotherapy. Pay attention to supplementing high-quality protein and fresh vegetables and fruits every day, and exercise moderately to enhance immunity.
