To treat bacterial vaginosis, you can use metronidazole vaginal effervescent tablets, clindamycin phosphate vaginal cream, tinidazole suppository, dizotide suppository, lactic acid bacteria vaginal capsules and other drugs as directed by your doctor. Bacterial vaginosis is usually caused by an imbalance of vaginal flora and manifests as symptoms such as increased discharge and odor.
1. Metronidazole vaginal effervescent tablets
Metronidazole vaginal effervescent tablets are suitable for bacterial vaginosis caused by anaerobic bacterial infection. The main component is metronidazole, which can inhibit the growth of anaerobic bacteria. Local irritation may occur after use, and sexual intercourse should be avoided during medication. Not suitable for pregnant and lactating women.
2. Clindamycin phosphate vaginal cream
Clindamycin phosphate vaginal cream is effective against gram-positive bacteria and anaerobic bacteria and can improve abnormal vaginal discharge. When using, the applicator should be inserted deep into the vagina. The course of treatment usually lasts 3-7 days. Some patients may experience adverse reactions such as vaginal burning sensation.
3. Tinidazole suppository
Tinidazole suppository works by destroying the DNA structure of pathogens and is suitable for trichomonas and bacterial infections. Systemic reactions such as headache and metallic taste may occur during medication. People with abnormal liver function should use it with caution and avoid drinking alcohol within 48 hours after taking the medicine.
4. Diazolate suppository
Dizotide suppository contains the dual ingredients of metronidazole and clotrimazole, which can fight bacterial and fungal infections at the same time. Suitable for patients with mixed vaginitis who may experience local redness, swelling and other allergic reactions after use. Use should be suspended during menstruation.
5. Lactobacillus vaginal capsules
Lactobacillus vaginal capsules restore the microecological balance by supplementing vaginal probiotics and are mostly used to consolidate the treatment phase. When using it, avoid antibiotic administration time, and store it under refrigerated conditions. Disabled for those allergic to dairy products.
During treatment, the vulva should be kept clean and dry, and tight-fitting chemical fiber underwear should be avoided. Change pure cotton underwear every day and wash it with boiling water, and reduce the intake of spicy and irritating foods. After symptoms are relieved, the entire course of treatment must be completed to prevent recurrence. If symptoms do not improve or severe allergic reactions occur after 3 days of medication, a follow-up visit should be made in time to adjust the treatment plan. Daily intake of yogurt containing probiotics can help maintain the balance of the flora.
