Ovarian tumors with clear borders are generally benign, but in rare cases they may be malignant. The nature of ovarian tumors needs to be confirmed through pathological examination, and patients are advised to seek medical treatment in time.

Clear borders of ovarian tumors usually indicate that the tumor has a complete capsule and is clearly demarcated from surrounding tissue. Benign ovarian tumors, such as serous cystadenoma, mucinous cystadenoma, etc., mostly present with clear borders, regular shape, and slow growth. This type of tumor may be caused by abnormal hormone levels, genetic factors, or chronic inflammatory stimulation. Patients may experience symptoms such as lower abdominal distension and menstrual disorders, but there is usually no significant discomfort. Ultrasound examination shows that there are few internal separations in the cystic structure and no blood flow signal. Tumor markers such as CA125 are often within the normal range.

Rarely, early-stage ovarian cancer or tumors of low malignant potential may also show clear borders. Such tumors may be associated with solid components, papillary protrusions, or abundant blood flow signals, and tumor markers may be slightly elevated. Pathological types such as borderline serous tumors, granular cell tumors, etc., although they grow slowly, have potential malignant tendencies. If the tumor increases in a short period of time, ascites or lymph node enlargement occurs, you need to be highly vigilant about the possibility of malignancy.

After ovarian tumors are discovered, ultrasound should be reviewed regularly to monitor tumor size and blood flow changes. Avoid taking hormonal drugs or health products on your own, and reduce your intake of high-fat foods. If the diameter of the tumor exceeds 5 cm, there is a solid component, or the tumor markers are abnormally elevated, it is recommended to perform laparoscopic or open surgery as soon as possible and send the tumor for pathological examination to confirm its nature after surgery.
